Gayle Chong Kwan, Memory Tasting Unit, SPACE, London, 2004
Food memories were gathered from people who live and work in one road. The foodstuff described was brought and made available in The Memory Tasting Unit, installed back in the same road, in which visitors were able to taste other people’s memories as well as record their own. Under controlled conditions, including wearing blindfolds and headphones, visitors were able to focus on and recall memories aroused by the ingredients chosen by people who live and work in that road.
