Gayle Chong Kwan, La Cisterna dei Ricordi dell Acqua, Biella, Italy, 2005
La Cisterna dei Ricordi dell‘Acqua was a temporary water memory tasting unit set up to enable people from Biella to taste each other’s water memories and record their own, sited around the city’s first public water fountain, in the Piazza della Cisterna. Biella’s textile and beer industries place water as a central component in the city’s development. La Cisterna dei Ricordi dell ‘Acqua enabled people to taste different water, record their own memories and focus on memories, stories and the flavour of something considered ‘tasteless’.
